Check In/Out

Our check-in time is 2 PM. Check out time is 12 PM. If you wish to stay beyond this time please let us know so we can check whether the site is already reserved. An additional overtime or early check-in fee will be charged.

No check-in after 9:00 PM. Only campsite occupants are allowed onsite after 9:00 PM.
Cancellations
When you make your reservation, 100% of payment for tent sites and cottages is required upon booking.

If you cancel more than 21 days prior to your scheduled arrival, you will receive a full refund minus a $25 administration fee.

If you cancel 8-20 days prior to your scheduled arrival, you will receive 50% of your payment.

If you cancel 7 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival payment is forfeited.

If payment is not made by the assigned date, your reservation will be cancelled. Please note that reservations are non-transferable.
Damage, Cleaning Service, & Fees
All cleaning and booking fees are included with the nightly pricing. You are responsible for any damage caused during your stay, and you will be charged for any repairs, refinishing, or replacement of furniture, doors, carpets, or loss of rental income due to a cottage needing such repairs. Please report any damage to our staff immediately.
Quiet Hours

While excessive noise is not allowed at any time of day, visitors should be aware that quiet hours are enforced between 11:00 PM and 9:00 AM in all campgrounds. During quiet hours, music, generators, loud conversations, and loud noise are not allowed.

Respect other campers and keep noise to a minimum. Please report disturbances to staff.
Campsites

The campsite permit holder must be 18 years of age or older. Camping is only allowed in designated campsites. A kitchen tent or small tent will also be permitted.

Maximum of 6 people per site (exceptions should be made known to the reservation agent to be approved).

No BBQs on the beach or on the retaining wall around the beach.
Alcohol, Smoking, & Cannabis

Walking around the campfire with any alcohol is not permitted. Alcohol consumption must be confined to your campsite. No glass containers on the beach or bathhouses. Please drink responsibly.

Smoking is not allowed at playgrounds, beaches, and any indoor buildings.

Cannabis and alcohol consumption is permitted on your campsite only.
Campfires
Each tent sites/cottages includes a fire pit, which are to remain on the site. Fire pits are not to be relocated on the site (a minimum $50.00 clean-up fee applies). Please do not collect wood from the forest and do not bring wood from outside. Firewood can be purchased at the front office. No daytime burning between April 1st – October 31st. Setting off fireworks and sky lanterns is not allowed in Kearney and is strictly prohibited. See By-Law 2018-24 for more information. For the safety of all, please extinguish your fire completely before leaving your site or retiring for the night.
Do not burn garbage in your fire pit. PLEASE CHECK THE FIRE RATING BEFORE YOU LEAVE HOME TO ENSURE YOU PLAN PROPERLY.
Firearms & Banned Items
Firearms, slingshots, air rifles, paintballs, bows and arrows, soft air pellet guns, and bb guns are not allowed. No
exceptions. No axes, hatchets, saws, bongo drums, horns, and water balloons are allowed.
Vehicles

Bicycles and electrical bicycles are permitted in the park.

Respect the posted speed limit of 10 km/h and remain alert while driving in the campground.
Pets

Well-behaved pets are welcome! Owners are required to keep their pets reasonably quiet, clean up after them, keep them on a leash, and fill any holes dug by their dog.

Dog waste goes into a doggy bag and into the garbage, not into recycling bins.

Dogs are not allowed in the washrooms.

Cottages have a limit on number of pets allowed. Please consult with our reservation agent before booking.
Garbage
Recycling is mandatory. Please separate trash from recycling. All other garbage are to be tied in clear bags for evening
pick up and put beside recycling bins. Dog waste and baby diapers are garbage, not recycling. If you miss the evening
pick up you must put the trash in your trunk overnight. If left out it will attract animals and crow. Please do not throw
campsite garbage in the washroom, as it may attract animals and other critters.
Wildlife
Feeding or disturbing wildlife is strictly forbidden. Keep your distance when observing wildlife. Keep your picnic table
and campsite clean and free of garbage and store food in your vehicle or animal-resistant food containers.
Fishing
A fishing license is required. We encourage catch and release.
Loss, Injured, & Theft
Mitziville By The Lake or employees will not be responsible or liable for any theft, injury, or death incurred by campers
at this establishment. Management has the right to evict anyone for non-compliance without refund.
